David McLeod

David’s strengths are in the design and analysis of market research, in order to unearth insights and apply them to growth opportunities.

David McLeod is the founder of Vamos Strategy, an action-focused strategic marketing consultancy. He is a seasoned marketing professional and has over 20 years of international experience in Australia, Canada, the US, Asia, and Eastern Europe. A data driven marketer with strong analytical and research skills, David’s strengths are in the design and analysis of market research in order to unearth insights and apply them to growth opportunities.

In addition to working with prominent national brands like Telstra and Foster’s, David has worked with leading global companies such as PepsiCo (Gatorade) and Campbell’s, helping them gain actionable insights into their consumers, and developing innovative, result-driven strategies. He has also worked with commonwealth government authorities and regulators such as the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) and the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC).

David has managed both qualitative and quantitative projects, which include face-to-face, online and CATI surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews and trackers. While much of his experience has been within the FMCG and telecommunication industries, David’s passion for sport has led to opportunities working with both Olympic and Commonwealth Games organisations, as well as professional, university and amateur sporting associations.

From his earliest roles, David has gleaned the importance of delivering both outstanding products and memorable customer experiences. This has informed and reinforced David’s professional ethos, which has always been simple, his motto is 2D: Deliver results and Delight customers.

David holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School (Canada) and an Honours Bachelor of Science (Human Kinetics) from the University of Guelph (Canada).
